[17:28:07] <wilarz89> Hello I have a question , Is it possible to use vertx in client to client communication , standalone to web app both in java?
[17:38:20] <tsegismont> wilarz89, if you can put the two Vert.x processes in the same cluster they can communicate with the eventbus
[17:38:57] <tsegismont> I have to go offline for a while, can you post your question (with more details on your use case) to the vert.x user group ? thanks
[19:11:19] <wilarz89> good afternoon does anyone know of a use case in which a web app and a standalone app in java can communicate via a socket cluster
[21:24:11] <wilarz89> good afternoon does anyone know of a use case in which a web app and a standalone app in java can communicate via a socket cluster
[22:52:03] <wilarz89> hello I dont know how i can communicate a web app in java to a standalone app in java via a cluster bridge?
[22:57:51] <tsegismont> wilarz89, with Vert.x there is no difference between a web app and a standalone app. Vert.x is just a toolkit, not an app server. If your two apps can be clustered together, then just use the event bus
[22:58:14] <tsegismont> wilarz89, otherwise have a look at the tcp event bus bridge in vert.io/docs
[23:14:01] <wilarz89> thank you in this case a tcp bus is a better option?
[23:16:01] <tsegismont> which case ?
[23:16:25] <wilarz89> I am confused in how vert creates a cluster in xml
[23:35:37] <wilarz89> When using the bridge do I need a different command for listening and posting?
[23:37:42] <tsegismont> The TCP bridge creates a TCP server. You need to call listen to start it.
[23:37:58] <tsegismont> Then the client send messages over a TCP connection to the bridge
[23:38:07] <tsegismont> The client is responsible for crafting the messages
[23:38:17] <tsegismont> the protocol format is described in the documentation
[23:38:28] <tsegismont> http://vertx.io/docs/vertx-tcp-eventbus-bridge/java/
[23:46:19] <wilarz89> ok thanks
[23:51:52] <wilarz89> So how would I send a message from js to be received by java?
[23:54:36] <tsegismont> just to be sure, your js app is a standalone Vert.x JS app, correct?
